Scientist discovered sings of alien civilizations outside Milky Way

Alien civilizations: you won’t believe what astrophysicists found

What if “fast radio bursts” (FRBs) were merely sings of extragalactic civilizations activity? Wondering about are not ufologists, on the basis of more or less believable assumptions, but scientists, particularly Manasvi Lingam and Abraham Loeb, Cornell University astrophysicists, according to the analyses of whom the beams that the intention is to use like engines for future spaceships equipped with large light solar sails could produce parameters consistent with those of FRBs.

Beams as engines for light solar sails?

“The characteristic diameter of the beam emitter is estimated through a combination of energetic and engineering constraints, and both approaches intriguingly yield a similar result which is on the scale of a large rocky planet” explained the experts. Moreover, the optimal frequency for powering the light solar sail is shown to be similar to the detected FRB frequencies.

These “coincidence” took scientists to believe to the possibility that FRBs origin is artificial. Study revealed even other relevant traits, like the characteristic mass of the light solar sail, and the angular velocity of the beam that could have been used to realize spaceships made by an alien civilization that caused the FRBs.

FRBs: so far there was no accepted explanation

Fast radio burst were discovered only in 2007 by Duncan Lorimer, West Virginia University astrophysicist, and are high-energy radio pulses lasting very few (less than five milliseconds), coming from an extragalactic source, for generating whom it is necessary a power 500 times that of the Sun.

Since 2007 were discovered just other 25 FRBs beside the Lorimer Burst FRB 010724, some of which shared characteristic of being repeated signals. If FRBs are a kind of rare phenomenon, models developed to try to explain their origin are instead numerous, including the options that they can be connected to massive neutron stars or black holes evaporating.

As of 2017, there is no generally accepted explanation of the phenomenon: now the possible explanation of an origin connected to an extragalactic civilization may prove to be the good one and it would be the first time that mainstream science witnesses the chance that there are evidence of other civilizations in the universe. Unfortunately (or not, if Stephen Hawking is right) because of the great distance between us we won’t be able to invite these sentient beings for dinner.
